Fair Trade Network election scorecard: Greens and NXT 5 Stars, Labor 4 Stars, Liberals last
Media Release, June 20, 2016: The Australian Fair Trade and Investment Network of 60 community organisations has analysed policy documents, public statements and past records to compare the trade policies of the major parties on key issues, summarised below.
Dr Patricia Ranald, AFTINET Convenor, said today that the Greens and the Nick Xenophon Team score highest with five stars.
She said that ALP policy scored well on most key issues, but loses a star because it has not committed to voting against the TPP’s implementing legislation, despite the fact that the TPP contradicts its policy on those key issues.
The Coalition scores lowest with negative answers on all key issues.
“We are publicizing our scorecard through our network of 60 community organisations,” said Dr Ranald.
