Australia to question Brunei over stoning laws before TPP trade talks

Brunei's recent introduction of a new criminal law regime which includes limb amputations and stoning as punishment has led to calls for trade talks with the dictatorship to be abandoned.

Brunei is one of the four founding members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade talks, and the US is under increasing pressure to abandon the TPP negotiations because of Brunei. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian government will question the dictatorship over the new laws.
